#28 - Kevin Sawyer and his very interesting journey to the NHL!
Kevin Sawyer played 8 years of professional hockey, including time in the National Hockey League with the St. Louis Blues, Boston Bruins, Phoenix Coyotes, and Anaheim Ducks. He also spent time in minor pro, playing in the American Hockey League and the International Hockey League. In junior, he played with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League.
After his playing career came to an end due to injury, Kevin got into coaching. He went back to his junior team and became an Assistant Coach with the Spokane Chiefs. When coaching came to an end, broadcasting became a new opportunity. Kevin started with some Spokane Chiefs television broadcasts and that eventually turned into working with the WHL on SHAW TV. After a few seasons of doing WHL games across Western Canada, he landed his current job on the TSN broadcasts of the Winnipeg Jets.
