Ken Brown - Tales from the WHA, the early Oiler years, the media biz, PGA and more!

It was so great to have ex-goalie (not old) Ken Brown join us on the podcast.

Ken enjoyed a great career in the early days of the WHA as they bridged to become the NHL. He spent time in the twine with the Moose Jaw Canucks in the WCHL (early WHL), the Dallas Hawks of the CHL, the Chicago Blackhawks and then the Alberta and Edmonton Oilers of the WHA.

After his hockey career between the pipes, Ken went up to the press box and was front and centre for four Stanley Cups as he provided the colour to the Rod Phillips broadcast.

Beyond hockey, Ken enjoyed a career in the newspaper business, the hockey business, championship golf and more.

He had some great stories to tell about the infamous Wild Bill Hunter, a visit the Oilers had to the set of MASH and more.
